Let’s go shopping in Las Palmas, hundreds of shops await you in the historic quarter, while you’re at it, visit the Cathedral, the Columbus Museum and the Isabel II food market on your own, where you can buy typical products of the land at the same price as the country people.
The historic centre of Las Palmas surprises you with its colonial-era buildings. You can see the historic part of Vegueta in just over an hour and if you want you can visit the Christopher Columbus House Museum (the most visited museum in the Canary Islands) and the Cathedral.

In the pedestrian street of Triana, you can see the Modernist buildings and more than a kilometre of shops at your disposal, and feel the local atmosphere in the small establishments of this great commercial artery.
The “Santa Catalina” park, the nerve centre of the city and where the carnivals of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria are held (one of the best in the world), welcomes you to this second part of your visit. Here you can decide what to do since you have almost 3 hours of free time and we’re taking a walk along the beautiful beach of “Las Canteras” (The European Copacabana) and bathing in its placid waters is something very appealing, going shopping for its pedestrian streets or visit one of the largest shopping centres on the island: “Las Arenas”, “El Corte Inglés” or “El Muelle”.
You can also have lunch, very close to the beach of “Las Canteras”, in a restaurant located in the very centre of the city and if you prefer something more cultural or educational you can visit the Museum of Science and Technology and much more…
